[Late Pedro Salvador Carneiro], a musician from the village of Ucassaim composed the hymn San Francis Xaviera Vhodda Kunvra almost a century back and is today the main hymn bringing goose bumps no matter which part of the world you listen it from. Late Pedro Salvador Carneiro will be remembered on this day for giving the world an Anthem to celebrate on the feast of St. Francis Xavier.

NOTE: The Instrumental used in the video is another master composition from Goa's noted musician Raimundo Floriano Feliciano Barreto (1837 - 1909) from Loutulim. He was Mestre Capela (Choir Master) of the cathedral of Velha Goa (Old Goa) residing in Piedade. The music can be considered a century old.

I had the opportunity of interacting with Fr. Antonio Pereira during a school retreat in Betul and years later at a workshop in journalism at the Baga Retreat House.
